St. Johns Park July 2014

Since being elected in 2010 for the first time as a City Councillor, Councillor Eadie has been involved with many improvements to our neighbourhoods in the Mynarski Ward. All of these accomplishments happened because Councillor Eadie worked with many others in the community and outside our Mynarski community. Councillor Eadie gets excited talking about how Gordon Sinclair Junior, bedding plant businesses, volunteers, Patty Eadie and residents along Main Street planted the awful looking planters on the Main Street medium from Sutherland Avenue to Landsdowne Avenue.

“we came together and demonstrated to the City of Winnipeg’s administration that we want the North End to look as good as any other place in Winnipeg.”

Since the spring of 2011, the City of Winnipeg has maintained the old planters after volunteers planted flowers, and they purchased new planters (2012) which have looked beautiful with spring, summer 2014 being outstanding. Thanks City of Winnipeg Parks and Open Spaces workers. There are many more accomplishments you can check out under this heading.
